The company has recently partnered with London Fashion Week with the sole purpose of having an agreement that will see the two companies work together for expansion purposes. Richard Liu wants JD.com to be the leader in fashion industry around China and for that to materialize; the company has to interact with companies that have been in the fashion industry for an extended period of time.

However, Richard Liu Qiangdong also wants the company to understand the fashion industry in the United Kingdom so that it can start delivering goods with Asian heritage to the large population of Chinese in the United Kingdom. It is a mutually configured strategy that will not only see the company expand but which will see the Chinese-based e-commerce company move its operations to the United Kingdom.

Recently, Richard Liu announced that JD.com has entered into an agreement with Google, which is the world’s largest advertising company. Entering into an agreement with Google is a significant achievement because Google will not only allow JD.com to sell its goods through the Google Online Store but will also enhance capacity in the operations of the company. Google will enable JD.com to sell its products in the United States, which is a strategic expansion strategy.

However, due to the fact that Google cannot operate in China, the agreement between the two companies is expected to support and build capacity in international stage. Google has already donated more than $500 million to JD.com for capacity building and expansion strategies. Moreover, Google is expected to support expansion strategies in Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore among others. JD.com is paying significant attention to the South Asian market.
